1973 Milton Bradley Speed Buggy Board Game -Complete
What would happen if Scoobie Doo, instead of a talking, crime-solving dog was a talking, crime-solving car? And what if his best friend, although still a scraggly redheaded man-child, was named Tinker instead of Shaggy? Or if his other pals who looked just like Freddie and Daphne were instead named Mark and Debbie (since Speedy was a 4-seater I guess the Velma clone was taken out executioner style)? And what if this trio of meddlesome kids and their anthropomorphic gas-guzzler stole most of their storylines from old Josie & The Pussycats episodes? Well, the result would be the highly derivative, yet oddly beloved Speed Buggy cartoon of 1973 by Hanna-Barbera. And what better way to celebrate this half-thought-out bit of animation than with an equally uninspired board game?
This game is in perfect complete, condition (4 pieces, 1 spinner, 1 game board). The box has all four corners of its top and bottom intact, but there is some bowing on the top panel sides and some slight moisture wrinkles on the graphics as well as a crease running lengthwise near the lower edge of the top. All in all it is still very presentable
