Imperial Knife Company Pocket Knife Manufactured for the Ingersoll-Rand Company Commemorating A.J. Foyt Jr.'s 1972 Daytona 500 Win

This knife is in better condition than it appears. It was obviously used by a mechanic and is coated in grease (which I have not attempted to remove). The edges of the brass do show some signs of wear, but the three blades (one 3" and two 2") are not broken or chipped and have almost no honing wear. The blades do have some spotting and some slight surface rust at their bases and thumb grooves, but they can be cleaned up by someone who knows what he/she is doing

One side of the knife has, in raised brass: the "AJ" logo, Foyt's face, and part of the word "Daytona" which is covered by the Wood Bros. #21 1971 "Purolator" Mercury Cyclone
The other side has: the serial number 13567, an impact gun, 1972, IR221, AJ Foyt Jr. in cursive, DAYTONA 500 (the 500 is partly missing), "WINNER" and the Ingersoll-Rand "IR" logo

This is the ideal gift for a NASCAR fan or knife collector
