1970's Japanese Made Kingston Acoustic Guitar In Excellent condition with Original Case

This guitar is in overall great condition with a few pick scratches above its sound hole and below its pick guard. It is currently missing its high "E" string (but it should be restrung anyway) and the plastic trim ring around the post of its high "E" tuning peg is missing. The action is considerably high and, as with all guitars that have sat idly for decades, it should be intonated. I'm not 100% sure what the woods are, but I will venture to guess that the top is spruce, the back and sides are mahogany and the fretboard is rosewood. The case is thin and inexpensive with a blue velvet lining and a broken handle.

Later Kingston guitars were Korean made. These earlier Japanese models are somewhat rare, are of much better quality and sound quite good.

What are you asking for it. And how do you tell the difference between a Korean and Japanese Kingston?

It is currently listed for $99 as a Buy It Now or Best Offer on Ebay. The way I am able to tell where it was made is that it had a “Made In Japan” sticker on the back of the head (it fell off but I kept it and it could be glued back on)

      Thanks for your interest -Brian
